  • Tuesday, September 30: Longitudes, Ospreys, and Quasars

Throughout the week: Students may also visit with teacher permission.

Volunteer Opportunities: We have many ways for parents and caregivers to get involved: help with setup, breakdown, sales, and more. Sign up here

Shop Online: Can’t make it in person? Visit Little Shop of Stories to shop online. Be sure to use our school code: KMS so that your purchases count toward our fair.

Thank you for helping us inspire our students and teachers through the joy of books from around the world. With your support, this year’s Book Fair will be one to remember!

You're Invited to KMS International Night!

Kittredge International Night is back by popular demand!  Mark your calendars for September 29 from 6-8 PM to learn, share, and enjoy the wonderful diversity of culture, language, and people that make up our world and our community.

What makes International Night so special are the families who sign up to represent a country or region. If you signed up to present a country/region or perform, we will be in touch in the coming days with details about participation and guidelines.

The evening activities will include:

  • The World Traveler Challenge: Upon arrival, students in attendance will receive a world map and a fact sheet. As they visit the various country and region presentations (located in the 5th Grade Hall), they will mark their map and write down a fact they learned. Any student who completes 6 visits will receive a small prize at the end of the evening!
  • Family Presentations: Families presenting about their global heritage will be stationed in classrooms in the 5th grade hall. This is where students will go to complete their map challenge.
  • Special Attractions: We will have a variety of food options for light bites available, as well as cultural presentations and a student parade in the cafeteria.
  • Photo Booth Fun: A photo booth will be set up, allowing students and families to take fun pictures with flags from around the world.
  • Book Fair: Students and parents will have an opportunity to attend the Book Fair in the library (cash and credit card accepted). You can purchase books for yourselves and/or from teacher wish lists.

Our vision for International Night is a joyful, welcoming evening for every student and family. Together we want to create an event that is fun, educational, and safe, while deepening our love and respect for the many cultures that make up the KMS community.
