Get Involved — Volunteer!
When adults volunteer, all students benefit! There are many opportunities for parents and community members to get involved! Your help is needed!
We are making plans for this year’s Career Day, Friday, October 25, 2019, from 7:30 am – 11:00 am. Career Day is designed to help broaden our students’ interests, awareness, and knowledge of a variety of careers via guest speakers, classroom activities, and a special assembly. We need your help to make this day a success. We are looking for parents, friends, family, and other community members to take a few hours out of their day to speak with our students. Representation from a wide variety of professions is our goal: STEM, manufacturing, finance, health, energy, community helpers, to name a few. This year, we would like to emphasize careers in the Arts.
On Career Day, volunteers are set up in a specific classroom, and students rotate to visit the presenters for their team. Depending on the number of volunteers, you will present between 3-5 sessions, each about 25 minutes with roughly 20 students. If you would like, we can offer suggestions of things to talk about, as well.
If you or someone you know is available to participate in this year’s Career Day on Friday, October 25, 2019, please complete this Google form by Monday, September 30, 2019:

Thank you for volunteering your time to make this year’s Career Day great!
Mr. Osborn is looking for help with shelving and other library needs. We would like to have someone come in every day of the week, if possible. Volunteers should plan to stay between 30 minutes to an hour during your time slot, and please indicate what time you will arrive in the comment section. Thank you to our Kittredge volunteers!
