Community Partners

The mission of Kittredge Magnet School for High Achievers (KMS) is to nurture and empower our diverse population of students to become independent thinkers by fostering student growth through an innovative and rigorous instructional approach. KMS depends on the generosity of community partners, parents, grandparents, relatives, and alumni to help us continue to provide the level of excellence in education that cannot be found elsewhere.

KMS is an elementary school within the DeKalb County School District in DeKalb County, GA, offering students in grades four through six an accelerated and enriched academic experience. The educational program for high achieving students is designed to enable students to be creative, lifelong learners who excel to their individual potential. The passionate educators of KMS set the standard for educational excellence through collaboration, communication, and student engagement. Students are provided with challenging experiences in a dynamic, safe, and nurturing environment where they are taught to take responsibility for their own learning. The Kittredge program is enhanced by its diversity, drawing students from across DeKalb County, and is supported by the collaborative efforts of school, parents, and community partners.

The Kittredge Magnet School Foundation was established to support and inspire innovation in the KMS instructional environment. The Foundation invites your organization to partner with KMS as a Community Partner in Education. We know many organizations want to support schools to help improve education, but often don’t know how to establish a mutually-beneficial partnership. As a Community Partner in Education, your organization will help to create a healthier community, where businesses, schools, civic organizations, and nonprofits come together in partnership to support one another.

KMS offers several different opportunities for your organization to become involved and give back to our school and our students. We will work with you to customize a partnership that meets your needs through monetary donations/sponsorships, in-kind donations, donations of supplies, and/or volunteer opportunities. As detailed in the attached description of Community Partner Levels, your organization will be highlighted on our website, Facebook page, newsletter, printed materials, and more.
